Austin, TX

Just a quick post to let everyone know we're in Austin after passing very quickly through Alpine, Big Bend National Park, Seminole Canyon State Park, Kerrville, and "miles and miles of TX." (Thank you Asleep at The Wheel for the musical background.) We'll be here for the whole month of November so things will slow down a bit and we'll get caught up on errands, repairs, supplies, maintenance, and visits with friends and family. We're staying at La Hacienda RV Resort near Lake Travis. Would love to hear if anyone has any recommendations about what to see in and around Austin.

  1. Just sold lmy house in Austin this past summer. LOVE the city. Check out Enchanted Rock State Park west of town. Not sure on lake levels these days. If you golf, you are near Falconhead which is a great course. Miss Central Market more than you can imagine. Great for veggies, fruit, cheese and olives. Too many great resturants to mention. Nutty Brown Cafe has live music lots of nights and a great Sunday buffet. And Alamo Drafthouse is great for dinner, drinks and a movie -- all at the same time. Enjoy your stay and give my adopted hometown a big hug.
